MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team closed out its weekend with the Savage Storm, dropping the series final to Southeastern Oklahoma, 5-6. The Blossoms secured the series win with a 2-1 record.

Scoring Recap:
The Storm opened up the game with a single to right center that plated two runs in the bottom of the first. An inning later, they stretched the lead to 4-0 with a single to right center.

A Southeastern Oklahoma wild pitch in the bottom of the third scored Madelyn Willard, while a sacrifice fly from Kylie Bonicelli plated Lainey Tippen.

Maddie Moore added another run to the board for UAM with a double down the left field line, scoring Dacia Sexton in the fourth. The final runs for the Blossoms crossed in the fifth as a Storm error plated Tippen, and a Jolie Bazan single through the left side brought in Aubree Goodnight.

Southeastern plated the tying run in the seventh with a double, holding UAM blank in the bottom half, sending the game to extras. A single in the eighth was the deciding run, as the Storm took game three 6-5.

Pitching Performances
- Jadyn Barger started in the circle for the Blossoms, pitching 1.1 innings, giving up four runs on three hits with one strikeout.
- Makenzie Martin entered to throw, allowing just five hits with three strikeouts in her 4.0 innings of work.
- Kayla Olthouse pitched the remaining 2.2 innings, earning the setback, with two runs on six hits, with one strikeout.

Offensive Showcase
- Dacia Sexton - 2-for-4 with one run scored.
- Maddie Moore - 1-for-4 with 1 SB, 1 2B, and one 1 RBI.

UP NEXT
The ladies in green and white return to action next Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, in Ada, Oklahoma, taking on the Tigers of East Central beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Friday with a doubleheader.
