Mason Philley Headshot 2025

Mason Philley

Mason will enter his third season on the Weevils' coaching staff in 2026. After two seasons as a graduate assistant, Philley will continue with the program as the pitching coach for UAM.

In his first two seasons on the coaching staff, Philley helped lead the team to the program's first super regional appearance in 2024, followed by the team's sixth trip to the NCAA regionals in 2025.

Philley is no stranger to the Weevils baseball program, having played five seasons as a left-handed pitcher. His powerhouse final season at UAM was capped off with an All-American Honorable mention recognition, 3x First Team All-Central Region selections (American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings, D2 Conference Commissioners Association, and National College Baseball Writers Association), All-GAC First Team selection, and the 2023 Great American Conference Pitcher of the Year title.

In his years as a Weevil, Philley broke multiple UAM baseball program records, including career strikeouts (357 between 2019-23) and season strikeout (127 in 2023) records.

Philley is a Monticello native and graduated from Arkansas-Monticello with a Bachelor's in Physical Education.
