Reece Reading, a four-year Weevils Baseball alumni under head coach John Harvey, enters his second season as an assistant coach for the UAM baseball program in the fall of 2024.

In Reading's first year on the coaching staff, Arkansas-Monticello made the program's first NCAA DII Super-Regional appearance (2024) and clinched both GAC regular season and tournament titles (2024) as well as an NCAA DII Central-Regional Pod 2 Championship (2024).

Reading helped guide the Boll Weevils to a 35-24 overall record in 2024, claiming the program's fifth GAC championship and their first since 2019. UAM held a 23-10 record in Great American Conference play, falling short of only its 2019 campaign, with 25 conference wins. Arkansas-Monticello belted 76 home runs during the historic season, taking the second-most in a season since joining the GAC. 

Before beginning his coaching career, Reading played for the Boll Weevils from 2020-23.
