Roman Tubner was named assistant women's basketball coach in July of 2013 after serving two seasons as graduate assistant coach with the UAM men's basketball program.
While serving the men’s basketball squad under head coach Allen Sharpe, Tubner assisted in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, on-court instruction, operations and student-athlete academic development.
The Montgomery, Ala. native came to UAM in 2011 after three years of playing experience at Centenary College of Louisiana, which at the time, was a member of the NCAA Division I Summit League. Prior to Centenary, Tubner lettered one year at Marion Military Institute after finishing his high-school career atMontgomery (Ala.) Catholic Preparatory School.
Tubner received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Centenary College in May of 2011 and a master’s degree in physical education and coaching from UAM in December of 2012.
