MADISON, Miss. -- The University of Arkansas at Monticello men's golf team finished sixth out of 10 teams at the Millsaps Collegiate Inviational on October 23-24 at the Colonial Country Club in Madison, Miss.
UAM turned in a final two-round team total of 635. Host team Millsaps won the team crown with a final score of 588. Centenary finished second at 622, William Carey finsihed third at 623, Murray State Community College finished fourth at 624 and Birmingham-Southern finished fifth at 629. Following UAM was Blue Mountain College in seventh at 646, Mississippi College in eighth at 658, Belhaven in ninth at 664 and Martin Methodist in 10th at 667.
Brooks Ashcraft led UAM with a tie for seventh place after posting a 74 in the first round and a 79 in the second round for a +9 total score of 153. Theodor Karlsson tied for 17th with a total of 159, followed by Ari Magnusson in a tie for 24th at 161, William Trawick in a tie for 35th at 165 and Matt Crawley in a tie for 41st at 167.
Millsaps' Lewis Peters led the individual field of 63 participants with a three-under finish of 141.
