BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - The Arkansas-Monticello Weevil's golf team closed out the first day of the 2025 Tulsa Cup presented by BancFirst, hosted by Rogers State, Monday afternoon in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The Weevils combined for a 298 (+10) in the first round, and 295 (+7) in round two, to card a 593 (+17), finishing the day tied for 15th place.
Leading the day for the Weevils was
Carson Slaughter (+3).
Carson Slaughter led the Weevils on day one tied for 44th at 3-over par (147). Slaughter posted a first-round of 75 (+3), followed by a second-round of 72 (E).
Sawyor Hamilton shot a first-round of 75 (+3), before posting a second-round of 74 (+2), to finish day one tied for 62nd at 5-over par (149).
Daniel Taylor and
Blayden Gillham finished tied for 67th at 6-over par (150). Taylor fired a first-round of 77 (+5) and 1-over par (73) in the second-round. Gillham fired a first-round of 72 (E) and 6-over par (78) in the second-round.
Landry Rogers closed out the Weevils on day one, finished tied for 80th at 8-over par (152), after posting a score of 4-over par (76) in round one and 4-over par (76) in round two.
The Weevils will play the final round of the tournament, tomorrow Tuesday, October 28, starting at 8:30 a.m.
