MONTICELLO, Ark. – The softball doubleheader with Delta State is just the latest in a string of cancelations for the UAM baseball and softball teams due to stormy conditions across the Southeast.
 
Thursday’s home doubleheader with the Lady Statesmen has been rescheduled for April 3 in Monticello. Game time is slated for 2 p.m.
 
The baseball team has had two cancellations of their own on the road. Tuesday’s single game at Grambling was called after two innings of play, and today’s single non-conference matchup with Harding was canceled as field conditions were no better in Searcy.
 
The Blossoms will remain at home this weekend as they face off with Henderson State for two GAC doubleheaders. Both days are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at Blossoms Field.
 
The Weevils will travel to Arkadelphia to face Henderson State for a three-game GAC series. The doubleheader is slated for a noon first pitch, with Sunday’s single set for 1 p.m.
