MONTICELLO – The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team secured its fourth straight victory on Friday night with a five-set win over Northwestern Oklahoma State behind another record-breaking performance from junior Gabriella Jandotti. Final game scores were 22-25, 25-17, 21-25, 25-21 and 15-10.
Just eight days after breaking the UAM and Great American Conference record for block solos in a match with eight in a loss to Southern Arkansas, Jandotti came through again with 10 block solos in Friday's win over Northwestern to break her own record. She also added one block assist for a new career-high of 11total blocks in the win.

As a team, the Blossoms recorded 19 blocks. Juniors Tasha Evans and Christina Rini were responsible for the majority of the team's final nine blocks with four and three block solos, respectively.
Jandotti's performance overshadowed the play of senior Tori Bozzo, who captured her third double-double of the season with a team-high 15 kills and 11 digs. Bozzo committed just four errors on 37 swings for a .297 percentage.
Rini also reached double-digits offensively with 10 kills and four errors on 25 attempts for a .240 percentage.
Junior Frankie Zaragoza paced the back row with a career-high 21 digs. Junior Jessica Cuba also reached double-digits in that category with 10.
After dropping the first set, the Blossoms (9-9, 2-3 GAC) scored the first six points of the second set, and used a .480 team percentage in the set to even the match. Both teams hit poorly in the third set, with Northwestern committing two fewer attack errors in the frame.
The Rangers (1-12, 0-5 GAC) turned in their worst performance of the match in the fourth set, hitting a negative .043 with 11 kills and 13 errors.
In the final set, UAM committed only one error and racked up six kills on 19 swings for a .263 percentage, while Northwestern had eight kills with five errors on 24 attempts.
For the match, UAM finished hitting .153 with 51 kills and 25 errors on 170attempts. NWOSU hit .129 with 59 kills and 34 errors on 193 attempts.
The Rangers were led by Paolo Turibio, who turned in a match-high 17 kills on 43 attempts with six errors. Asia Pipkin and Alyssa Eicher also reached double-digits with 14 and 13 kills, respectively.
The Blossoms are back on the court Saturday morning against Southwestern Oklahoma State. First serve is 11 a.m. inside Steelman Field House.
