MEN'S GOLF FINISHES 10TH AT MC INVITATIONAL

DELHI, La. --
The University of Arkansas at Monticello men's golf team finished 10th out of 17 teams at the Mississippi College Invitational held at the Black Bear Golf Club in Delhi, La. March 4-5.

As a team, UAM shot 329 in the first round and 332 in the second round for a total of 661, six strokes ahead of 11th place finisher Centenary College and seven strokes behind ninth place finisher Hardin-Simmons University.

Brooks Ashcraft and William Trawick led UAM with identical two-round scores of 164 for a tie for 30th place. Ashcraft tallied an 80 in the first round and 84 in the second round. Trawick shot 85 in the first round before recording a team-best 79 in the second round.

Theodor Karlsson tied for 40th with a two-round total of 166. Ari Magnusson tied for 44th at 167, while Matt Crawley finished 83rd with a two-round total of 198.

McMurry University took home the team title with a two-round team score of 635, led by two top 10 finishers. Delta State's Cameron Thomas was the top inidividual finisher with a two-round total of 153.
