MEN'S GOLF WRAPS UP REGULAR SEASON AT NATURAL STATE CLASSIC

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. ---
The University of Arkansas at Monticello men's golf team wrapped up its regular season with an 11th place finish at the Natural State Golf Classic played at the Red Apple Country Club April 8-9.

The squad is now set to compete in the Great American Conference championships this upcoming Sunday-Tuesday, April 14-16 at the Hot Springs (Ark.) Country Club.

UAM totaled a two-round team score of 643 in the Natural State Classic, six strokes behind 10th place finisher Southern Arkansas. Faulkner University won the event with a team score of 583, followed by Union University in second at 599 and Lincoln Memorial University in third at 604. Host team Harding finished fourth with a team score of 609.

Individually, Brooks Ashcraft led UAM with a tie for 32nd with scores of 80 and 77 for a two round total of 157. Theodor Karlsson tied for 42nd at 160, William Trawick tied for 46th at 162, Matt Crawley tied for 54th at 165 and Ari Magnusson tied for 64th at 168.

Faulkner's Daniel Jansen was the top individual finisher with scores of 68 and 75. He defeated Union's Kody Alexander in a playoff hole to take home the individual medalist award.
