SEARCY, Ark. –
Harding scored in every inning, including a five-run third inning, to defeat the University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team by a final score of 13-3 on Wednesday at Jerry Moore Field.

Despite the lopsided run total, UAM (31-12) was only out hit 14-12, but the Weevils left 11 runners on base in the loss.

Harding (24-17) scored one run in the first, three in the second, five in the third, one in the fourth, one in the fifth and two in the sixth. Trent Wooldrige led the Bisons with a 4-for-5 performance at the plate.

UAM got on the board with a pair of runs in the top of the third inning on an RBI double from senior Chad Miller followed by a sacrifice fly from sophomore Corey Wood. Senior Ben Agredano drove in UAM's final run with an RBI groundout in the fourth.

Wood led the Weevils with a perfect 3-for-3 game. Junior Bronson Gillam, senior Tyler Caruthers and sophomore Evan Comeau all had two hits in the loss.

The Weevils are idle this weekend before closing out the season at home next week with the team's final non-conference game on Tuesday against Union and a three-game GAC series against rival Southern Arkansas on Friday and Saturday, April 25-26.
