UAM trailed 37-30 at halftime after shooting just under 40 percent from the field. Southeastern shot just over 45 percent in the first half, but dropped to 30 percent in the final period after making only eight shots on 27 attempts.

UAM started the second half with three three-pointers, two from junior Jamal Peterson and one from senior Sharif Hudson, to quickly turn that seven-point halftime deficit into a 39-all tie at the 17:35 mark.

UAM took the lead for good at the 15:25 mark on a three-pointer from Peterson, hit the double-digit lead mark with 7:33 remaining on a layup by junior Kazmere Boyd and held its largest lead of 27 points on a fast break dunk by senior Cameron Blue with 40 seconds left in the game.

Peterson led all scorers with 20 points. UAM placed four others in double-digits with Blue at 16 points, Hudson at 14, Boyd at 12 and senior D'Audrio Patton at 10. Patton also turned in a game-high nine rebounds.
