WACO, Texas — The University of Arkansas at Monticello women's basketball team opened its 2015-16 season on Monday night with a 104-39 exhibition loss to Baylor.
The fifth-ranked Baylor Lady Bears ended the game shooting 61 percent from the floor (48-for-79) and held UAM to 26 percent (14-for-54).
Sophomore Taylor Collins led the Blossoms with 14 points, her second highest scoring game of her UAM career. She was 5-for-11 from the field and 4-for-9 on three-pointers.
True freshmen Martina Rawls and Mia Hayes followed with nine and seven points, respectively, both players coming off the bench.
The Blossoms are off for the rest of the week and return to action next Thursday, November 19 at Southeastern Oklahoma State.
