DURANT, Oklahoma –
Southeastern Oklahoma State completed a four-game Great American Conference sweep over the University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team on Friday by scores of 8-0 and 13-3.

In the first game, Southeastern pitcher Jacee Bennett (11-7) threw a complete-game one-hitter while receiving support from her team with four runs in the first, two in the third and two in the fifth, which held on to be enough to the NCAA eight-run rule.

In the second game, the Blossoms (17-14, 9-11 GAC) jumped out to an early lead with three runs in the top of the first, highlighted by a two-run homerun by senior Sydney Tipton for her third round-tripper of the weekend.

However, Savage Storm pitcher Jessica Seay (7-6) quieted the UAM rally by retiring 13 straight Blossom batters while Southeastern (19-16, 15-5 GAC) came back with one run in the second, six in the third, one in the fourth, two in the fifth and three in the sixth to end the game early.

The Blossoms are back in action on Tuesday, April 7 at home against Southern Arkansas for a Great American Conference rivalry double-header. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. at Blossoms Field.
