SEARCY, Arkansas — University of Arkansas at Monticello senior volleyball player Sydni Schulz recorded her third double-double of the season in a losing effort on the road Thursday night, falling in straight sets to the Harding Lady Bisons.
Final game scores were 25-21, 25-19 and 25-18.
Schulz went for 10 kills and 10 digs in Thursday's loss. She made only one error on 31 swings for a team-high .290 hitting percentage, and also chipped in with two aces and one block assist. It was her third kills-digs double-double of the year and ninth of her UAM career.
Junior Carolina Gasparini came in a close second to Schulz with nine kills and nine digs in the loss. Sophomore Aubrey Harrison added five kills and eight digs.
As a team, the Blossoms (6-4, 1-2 Great American Conference) made 33 kills and 14 errors on 121 swings for a .157 percentage. The Lady Bisons (5-9, 2-1 GAC) hit .198 as a team with 43 kills and 18 errors on 126 attempts.
The Blossoms are back in action on Tuesday, September 29 at home against Southern Arkansas. Originally scheduled as a tri-match with Alcorn State, Tuesday's action has been switched to just one GAC match between UAM and SAU. First serve is set for 6 p.m. at Steelman Field House.
