@UAMGOLF MEN COMPETE AT NORTHEASTERN STATE CLASSIC

MUSKOGEE, OKLA. — 
The University of Arkansas at Monticello men's golf team finished 11th at the Northeastern State Classic played this past Monday and Tuesday at the Muskogee Country Club. 

The Weevils combined for a three-round score of 876 (301-283-292).

Joseph Lemieux and Kinley Lee were the top UAM golfers, as each placed in a tie for 22nd, shooting 216 after three rounds. Lemieux finished with scores of 73-71-72, and Lee finished with scores of 73-70-73.

Freshman Wilson Powell added a score of 219 (78-71-70) for a T-36th finish, and fellow freshmen Jeffrey Whitson (226) and Jacobo Santacoloma (227) placed T-71st and T-78th respectively. Senior Bryan Witmer tied for 90th with a score of 233 as well. 

Arkansas Tech was the top team at the event at 838, followed by Southwestern Oklahoma State (840) and Central Oklahoma (856). Other Great American Conference teams in the event included Henderson State (866), Harding (872), Southeastern Oklahoma State (873), and Southern Nazarene (882).

The Weevils are back in action next on Monday and Tuesday, October 3-4 in the Hot Springs Country Club Invitational played in Hot Springs Ark.
