Ada, Okla. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team earned the GAC road victory over the Tigers of East Central Friday evening, by a final score of 3-1. 

• Final set scores from the contest were 25-21, 22-25, 25-22, and 25-16 in favor of the Blossoms. 
• Arkansas-Monticello improves its record to 10-14 (2-8 GAC) on the year.
• East Central drops to 6-18 (1-9 GAC) this season. 

• The Blossoms found themselves battling from behind early in set one, but a 7-1 run surged UAM forward to trail ECU by just two points at 16-14.
• Arkansas-Monticello capped off the opening set with a 5-1 run as well to take set one 25-22, with kills from both Maggie Pyles, and Brittany Hamilton. 
   

  

• The Tigers jumped out ahead in the second set, as a 6-0 run midway through saw ECU with a 21-12 lead over UAM.
• Arkasnas-Monticello would then generate a 10-0 run that put the Blossoms in the lead at 22-21, but East Central was able to score four consecutive points and take the set at 25-22.

• Set number three saw each team in a tightly contested battle, trading points back-and-forth, however the Blossoms were able to pull ahead late in the set with an 8-1 run to claim the third set at 25-22. 
   

• UAM began pulling away early in what would be the final set of this contest after a 5-0 run with help from kills by Laurene Cushinberry and Pyles. 
• The Blossoms went on to generate small runs throughout the rest of this set until finally claiming set four on a kill from Pyles for the 25-16 set victory, and 3-1 match win. 
   

• Sophomore Maggie Pyles once again led the UAM offensive attack in this match-up, totaling 16 kills on the night on 43 attempts and compiled a .256 hitting percentage. 
• Senior Macy Mitchell tallied a match-high 31 digs to anchor the Blossoms' defense.
• Brittany Hamilton racked up 10 kills in the contest also to help power the UAM offense.
• Laurene Cushinberry added a solid stat-line of eight kills, four total blocks, and one dig as well. 
  
   

• UAM returns to the court tomorrow afternoon as the Blossoms face Southeastern Oklahoma State in a GAC match-up in Durant, Oklahoma with first serve scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
