Durant, Okla. -  The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team was defeated on the road in Durant, Oklahoma Saturday afternoon by GAC foe Southeastern Oklahoma State, 3-0. 

• Final set scores from the match were 15-25, 18-25, and 20-25 in favor of the Savage Storm. 
• UAM falls to 10-15 (2-9 GAC) overall this year.
• SOSU jumps to 8-17 (4-7 GAC) on the season. 

• UAM opened the match with a 6-2 lead on the Savage Storm after taking advantage of SOSU errors, and kills from Brittany Hamilton, Aubrey Harrison, and Vanessa Pawlak.
• Southeastern however countered with a 6-0 run, and a 4-0 run to jump ahead and take not only the lead, but the opening set as well at 25-15 over UAM.
  
   

  

• The Savage Storm continued to ride its momentum in the second set with a 7-0 run which gave them the early 7-1 lead over the Blossoms. 
• Despite Arkansas-Monticello generating small runs throughout the set, Southeastern was able to win four straight points to claim set number two at 25-18. 
   

• The Blossoms once again found themselves with a 6-2 lead to open up a set, as kills from Maggie Pyles and Pawlak gave UAM the early advantage. 
• However, Southeastern created point runs of 7-1, and 5-1 which surged them ahead to claim set three at 25-20, and win the match over Arkansas-Monticello, 3-0. 
   

• Senior Macy Mitchell recorded 25 digs in the contest to lead UAM, and with that Mitchell has totaled over 1,000 digs in her Arkansas-Monticello career.
• Vanessa Pawlak, and Maggie Pyles each tallied nine kills a piece in the match-up.
• Laurene Cushinberry, and Pawlak each totaled 3.0 blocks in the match as well to help aid the defensive effort. 
  
   

• UAM hits the court next on Thursday, October 26, as the Blossoms will face GAC rival Southern Arkansas in Magnolia, with first serve slated for 6:00 p.m.
