Weatherford, Okla. -  The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team was taken down by the Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma State Saturday afternoon, by a final score of 3-0.

• Final set scores from the match were 19-25, 23-25, and 14-25 in favor of the Bulldogs. 
• Arkansas-Monticello drops to 7-12 (1-6 GAC) overall this season.
• Southwestern improves to 8-13 (5-2 GAC) on the year. 

• SWOSU created a 7-1 run midway through the opening set, and was able to hold a lead through the sets entirety as well with the Bulldogs winning it over UAM, 25-19.
   

  

• The Blossoms came out firing in the second set of play, generating a 9-0 run against SWOSU, with UAM taking advantage of multiple Bulldog errors, and kills from Kassidy Pomeroy, and Aubrey Harrison.
• However Southwestern was able to regroup, building small runs of their own to ultimately take the lead and finish off the second set with three straight points at 25-23, for the 2-0 advantage in the match. 
   

• Set three was controlled by Southwestern throughout most of this match-up unfortunately with the Bulldogs building out to a 14-5 lead to open the set up.
• Despite a 5-1 run from the Blossoms midway through the set, SWOSU was able to seal off set number three, 25-14, and take the match at 3-0 overall.  
   

• Vanessa Pawlak led the visiting squad in total kills with seven overall, and added one block assist as well. 
• Aubrey Harrison contributed six overal kills, and led UAM with six total block assists on the night.
• Macy Mitchell posted a match-high 22 digs in the match-up, along with three assists. 
  
   

• UAM returns to the court on Friday, October 13 against GAC adversary Southern Nazarene in Monticello, Arkansas with first serve scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
