Shawnee, Okla. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello women's basketball team took down the Bison of Oklahoma Baptist to begin GAC play this season on the road, 74-66.

 

• The Blossoms improve to 2-1 (1-0 GAC) on the year.
• Oklahoma Baptist drops to 1-2 (0-1 GAC) this season.
  
   

• Brittnee Broadway:  28 points, 3 rebounds
• Idalis Rubalcava:  12 points, 7 rebounds
• Taylor Collins:  9 points, 1 steal, 3-for-4 (3PT)
  
   

• Arkansas-Monticello and Oklahoma Baptist were locked in a tight battle as UAM held an 8-7 lead over the Bison midway through the opening quarter. 
• The Blossoms ended the quarter with layups from Idalis Rubalcava, and Brittnee Broadway for a 21-19 lead on the road. 
  
   

• Despite losing the lead late in the second period, UAM was able to regroup and take a two point lead at 39-37, after a Broadway made layup, and converted the and-one free throw. 
   

• The Blossoms saw its biggest lead of the match-up with just 1:25 left in the third quarter with a Taylor Collins three-pointer to put the UAM advantage at 59-49. 
   

• Arkansas-Monticello continued to pace the final quarter of play as the Blossoms never trailed for the remainder of the contest, and ultimately took the GAC victory over the Bison at 74-66.
  
   

• UAM will take on the Crimson Storm of Southern Nazarene next on Saturday, November 18 in Bethany, Oklahoma with tip-off slated for 1:00 p.m.
