Bethany, Okla. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello women's basketball team was defeated Saturday afternoon by the Crimson Storm of Southern Nazarene, 59-49 in Bethany, Oklahoma.
- Arkansas-Monticello drops to 2-2 (1-1 GAC) in 2017.
- Southern Nazarene improves to 2-0 (2-0 GAC) overall on the year.

- UAM started to pace the opening quarter of play towards the end of the period with a three-pointer from Taylor Collins, and a layup by Nina Kizzee for the 14-9 lead over SNU.
- Arkansas-Monticello continued to build its lead in the following quarter, with the largest lead at 30-12, after two made free-throws by Brittnee Broadway.
- The Blossoms went on to hold a 32-20 advantage at the half, and shot 42 percent as a team during as well.
- The second half saw a different match-up than the first as the Crimson Storm went on to outscore UAM 25-7 throughout the third period, and took over a 45-39 lead.
- Southern Nazarene would not trail for the remainder of this contest, as the home squad unfortunately claimed the victory over UAM at 59-49 by the final buzzer.
- The Blossoms hit the court next on Tuesday, November 21 on the road in Memphis, Tennessee against Christian Brothers University with game-time set for 5:00 p.m.
