OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello men's golf team continued its 2017 spring campaign at the Broncho Invitational this week, Monday-Tuesday, hosted by the University of Central Oklahoma.
Freshman Stephane Perrin led UAM once again in this tournament with a three-round score of 229 (76-74-79) throughout the invite and placed in a tie for 32nd overall. UAM finished in 11th overall out of 17 participating teams in the Invitational.
Fellow freshman Jacobo Santa Coloma shot a 233 (80-76-77) combined to finish in a tie for 51st, Joseph Lemieux shot a 234 (76-81-77) to place tied for 56th, Jeffrey Witson recorded a 240 (77-83-80) to tie for 77th, and finally Wilson Powell turned in a 244 (85-82-77) to place in 91st overall.
Central Missouri was the number one team in the invitational out of the 17 total teams, with a three-round score of 875, followed by Henderson State in second at 896, and Central Oklahoma in third with a 903 total.
The Weevils will head to Mountain Home, Arkansas for its next tournament where UAM will compete in the Southern Bancorp Invitational Monday, April 3 - Tuesday, April 4 played at the Big Creek Golf Club.
