HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello men's golf team placed seventh overall at the GAC Championship Tournament this week, concluding Tuesday afternoon at the Hot Springs Country Club.
Freshmen Stephane Perrin (81, 69, 73), and Wilson Powell (78, 74, 71) each led the Weevils with a three-round score of 223 each, which saw both in a tie for 13th place in the competition.
Freshman Joe Lemieux (74, 80, 76) turned in a 230 overall score in the event to place in in tie for 34th as well.
Senior Bryan Witmer (77, 80, 78) complied a 235 overall score to tie in 39th in the tournament, and finally Jacobo Santa Coloma (86, 83, 75) finished in 47th with a 244 overall score.
Henderson State took home the top spot of the tournament with a three-round score of 717, followed by Arkansas Tech in second at 719, and finally Harding University with a 743 overall score.
