SCOUTING #17 SOUTHERN ARKANSAS
SAU is coming into the weekend after dropping a series on the road against Arkansas Tech and was defeated by Henderson State earlier one this week on the road in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Leading the Muleriders offense attack is Trevor Rucker with a .401 batting average on the season. Jacob Richardson (.366), Cortland McPherson (.354), Mark Fontenot (.327), and Blake Hall (.321) all have batting average over .300 on the season as well for SAU. Rucker is the team leader in home runs (14), doubles (18), runs (53), and slugging percentage (.849), while Fontenot leads the program in runs batted in with 41 overall. On the mound for the Muleriders they are anchored by Dalton Algiene who leads in earned run average (1.95), wins (10), innings pitched (73.2), and strikeouts at 88 total.
