MONTICELLO - The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team was taken down by the Reddies of Henderson State University Tuesday evening at home by a final score of 3-0.

• Final set scores from the match were 19-25, 22-25, and 17-25 in favor of the Reddies. 
• The Blossoms fall to 5-7 (0-2 GAC) on the year.
• Henderson State improves to 7-6 (1-1 GAC) overall this season. 

• Arkansas-Monticello jumped out to a hot start in set number one, leading the Reddies 10-4 early on after three straight kills from Maggie Pyles, Laurene Cushinberry, and Vanessa Pawlak.
• Henderson State battled back however and created a 6-1 run to put the opening set away in their favor, 25-19.

  

• HSU and UAM traded points back and forth throughout the second set of play, with each team generating a 4-0 run as the score saw Henderson State hold a 20-19 advantage over the Blossoms. 
• Unfortunately Arkansas-Monticello committed some costly errors that saw Henderson pull ahead and take the second set by a score of 25-22. 
   

• The Reddies jumped out to a 14-5 lead over UAM to begin the third set of play, but despite the Blossoms going on a 5-1 run to pull within five points, Henderson State continued to build off its early lead and take the set 25-17, and the match at 3-0.
   

• Senior Aubrey Harrison led UAM on the offensive side of the ball with nine total kills, and added two blocks to her stat-line as well. 
• Freshman Toryn Cox totaled 24 assists in the match-up to lead both squads. 
• Senior Macy Mitchell turned in 10 overall digs to anchor the Blossom defense on the night. 

• Arkansas-Monticello will gear up for GAC opponent Harding University next on Thursday, September 21 as the Blossoms travel to Searcy, Arkansas with first served slated for 6:00 p.m.
