MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello women's basketball team was downed at home Thursday night by Arkansas Tech by a final score of 84-66. 
 

• UAM goes to 5-9 (1-9 GAC) on the year.
• ATU improves to 12-2 (8-2) this season. 
  
   

• Idalis Rubalcava — 16 points, 8 rebounds, 1 block
• Brittnee Broadway — 15 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds
• Mackenzie Johnson — 11 points, 4 rebounds
  
   

• The opening quarter saw the Blossoms in a closely contested battle against the Golden Suns as UAM only trailed ATU 15-13 after a made jumper from Broadway. 
• Despite the first quarter score standing at 24-19, Arkansas Tech quickly jumped out to a double digit lead in the second period, holding a 46-35 advantage over the Blossoms at the half. 
• Arkansas-Monticello struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 1-for-6, compared to ATU who shot 9-for-14 in the opening half of play. 
   

• The visiting Golden Suns continued to swing the momentum in their favor as ATU led by double digits throughout the third quarter, leading 74-50 by the period's end. 
• Arkansas Tech went on to claim the victory in this match-up, by a final score of 84-66, and knocked down 15 total three pointers in this contest. 
• UAM ended the evening shooting 35 percent from the floor, making 22 out of 63 total shots in the game. 
  
   

• UAM hits the court next on Saturday, January 20 against the Bisons of Harding inside Steelman Field House in Monticello, with tip-off scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
