SWIFT, BROADWAY LEAD @UAMWBB OVER SNU

MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello women's basketball team picked up its' second straight win against the SNU Crimson Storm at home, by a final score of 62-55.

  • UAM will jump to 7-10 (3-9 GAC) on the season. 
  • SNU falls to 7-9 (5-7 GAC) this year. 
     
  • Chari Swift recorded a career-high with 18 points on the evening. 
  • Brittnee Broadway recorded her first career double-double with the Blossoms with 11 points, and 10 rebounds.

  • This conference match-up began with each team providing a solid offensive attack, as UAM saw big shots from Broadway, Swift and Taylor Farley to hold a 15-10 lead by the first quarter's end. 
  • SNU swung the momentum into their favor in the second period however, outscoring the Blossoms 18-4 throughout, to hold the 28-19 advantage at halftime. 
  • UAM went on to shot 23 percent from the floor overall, compared to the visiting Crimson Storm shooting 36 percent.

  • Arkansas-Monticello battled back in the second half, creating a 16-4 run through the end of the third period to trail SNU just 40-39.
  • The final quarter of play saw a back-and-forth battle between the programs, until a game changing made three-pointer from Farley with just over two minutes to go, gave UAM the 55-53 lead. 
  • Farley went on to score again on the next possession, and Collins was able to seal the game off in front of the home crowd with a knock down three pointer to see UAM win it, 62-55.
