MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello women's basketball team was defeated by the No. 10 Bulldogs of SWOSU at home Saturday afternoon, 96-46. 
 

• UAM drops to 7-15, (3-14 GAC) overall. 
• SWOSU improves to 22-1, (17-0 GAC) this year.
  
   

• Idalis Rubalcava — 19 points, 7 rebounds
• Charlynn Perry — 9 points, 3 assists
• Mackenzie Johnson — 12 rebounds, 2 points
  
   

• The Blossoms went toe-to-toe with the tenth ranked Bulldogs in the opening quarter, only trailing 17-13 by the period's end with offensive help coming from Rubalcava, and Perry. 
• SWOSU however surged ahead in the second quarter, holding a double-digit lead throughout most of the action, ultimately leading UAM 45-27 at the half. 
• The Bulldogs knocked down eight total three pointers in the opening half, compared to that of Arkansas-Monticello, who only made two shots beyond the arc. 
   

• Southwestern Oklahoma State dominated the second half in this match-up, outscoring UAM 30-6 in the third quarter to take a commanding lead over the home squad. 
• Arkansas-Monticello could not recover from the third period against SWOSU, and the Bulldogs went on to claim the GAC victory at 96-46 by the final buzzer. 
• The Bulldogs finished the game 16-for-41 from three pointer land, which made a large difference in this ballgame. 
  
   

• The Blossoms return to the court next on Thursday, February 15 on the road against Henderson State in Arkadelphia, Arkansas with tip-off set for 5:30 p.m.
