SPRINGFIELD, MO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team was defeated twice Sunday afternoon against Drury University on the road by scores of 7-5, and 4-3.

• UAM drops to 0-6 this year. 
• DU improves to 2-3 overall.
   

• Aubree Head — 2-for-4, 2 RBI, 2 runs, 1 double
• Skyler Anderson —  1-for-4, 1 RBI
• Jewels Caro — 1-for-1, 1 run
   

• Kaylee Freeman (L, 0-2)  —  2.0 IP,  1 strikeout, 3 walks, 4 hits
• Abigail Leonards  —  1.1 IP,  2 earned runs, 3 hits
• Mallory McWhorter  —  2.2 IP,  2 strikeouts, 3 hits, 0 runs allowed
  
   

• 2nd Inning: Anderson reached base on a fielder's choice, which saw Hayley McGhee cross the plate to take the 1-0 lead.
• 2nd Inning: Herbner also reached safetly on a fielder's choice, which knocked in Head for the 2-0 early advantage. 
• 7th Inning: Freeman was able to reach base on a Drury error to see Ashton Currey score, putting the Drury lead at 7-3. 
• 7th Inning: Aubree Head went on to single to center field to bring home Caro to chip away at the 7-4 Panther lead.  
• 7th Inning: UAM's comeback was cut short, but not after Bolter reached on another Drury error to put the score at 7-5.

• Hannah Hutson (L, 0-1)  —  6.2 IP,  6 strikeouts, 4 earned runs

• 1st Inning: Freeman started the game off with a two-run home run to right center field to see UAM up 2-0. 
• 5th Inning: Clendenin singled to left field to see Stamper cross the plate to re-take the lead over Drury at 3-2. 
   

• The Blossoms will begin GAC play on Friday, February 23 against Southeastern Oklahoma State with a double-header at Blossoms Field with game one set at 1 p.m.
