MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team swept its' opening GAC series this season against East Central, picking up two wins today at 9-6, and 11-0 at home.

• 1st Inning: Dodd got UAM onto the board first with a double down the left field line to score Weiss for the 1-0 early lead. 
• 1st Inning: Wagner followed up with a single up the middle to score Dodd, extending the 2-0 advantage. 
• 1st Inning: Dylan Borman then put the ball into play to force a run home on the fielder's choice for the 3-0 lead through the first. 
• 3rd Inning: Borman singled to right field to knock in Wagner to reclaim the 4-3 lead over ECU.
• 6th Inning: Brodie Threet singled to right field as well which scored Johnson to tie up the game at 5-5.
• 7th Inning: UAM fought from behind once again, as Ray tripled to center field to bring home a run to tie the game up at 6-6.
• 8th Inning: Weiss surged the Weevils ahead with a double down the right field line to score two runs, giving UAM the 8-6 lead.
• 8th Inning: Dodd capped off the UAM scoring with a double to right center to bring home Weiss, and the Weevils took the game at 9-6.

• 1st Inning: Sean Wagner singled to right field to see UAM on the scoreboard first at 1-0.
• 1st Inning:  Borman singled which knocked in two runs to extend the Weevil lead out to 3-0. 
• 1st Inning: Rios doubled to right center to knock in Borman, putting the home advantage at 4-0 overall.
• 1st Inning: Johnson capped off the opening inning scoring with a two-run home run to left field to put the score at 6-0.
• 5th Inning: Drake Rowton was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded which brought home Borman from third base. 
• 6th Inning: Wagner doubled down the right field line to see Weiss cross the plate to put the UAM lead at 8-0. 
• 6th Inning: Borman hit a sacrifice fly out to center field which brought home Dodd from third for the 9-0 lead.
• 6th Inning: Johnson continued to provide the big hits with a double down the line to score two more runs, and see UAM complete the sweep at 11-0.

• The Weevils will take on Mississippi College next in a non-conference match-up tomorrow, Tuesday, February 20 in Monticello at Weevils Field with first pitch slated for 2:00 p.m.
