DURANT, Okla. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello women's basketball team was defeated by the Savage Storm of Southeastern Oklahoma State Saturday afternoon by a final score of 83-74.

 

• UAM drops to fall (7-13, 3-12 GAC) on the year.
• SOSU improves to (9-10, 7-7 GAC) this season.
  
  
   

• Chari Swift — 21 points, 2 rebounds
• Brittnee Broadway — 16 points, 4 assists
• Mackenzie Johnson — 9 points, 5 rebounds
  
   

• The opening quarter in this match-up belonged to the Savage Storm after they controlled the lead for its' entirety, up on the Blossoms 27-17 heading to the second period. 
• Despite closing the scoring gap to just eight points, UAM trailed Southeastern at the half, 43-34. 
• Broadway went on to have a big first half with 11 total points, two rebounds, and one assist.
  
   

• SE paced much of the third quarter until late in the period when the Blossoms began to generate its' comeback, seeing the deficit at just four points after made free throws from Whitney O'Dell, and Broadway. 
• A quick 7-0 run from the Savage Storm to begin the fourth quarter put SOSU back into control of the game, and ultimately went on to claim the victory at 83-74.
• Swift would score 15 points in the second half to lead UAM, along with recording two steals. 
  
   

• Arkansas-Monticello returns to the court next on Thursday, February 8, to take on the Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State in Monticello with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
