  • Northwestern controlled much of the momentum in the opening quarter of play, creating an 11-4 run to start this contest. 
  • Despite trailing in the first quarter, UAM surged ahead of NWOSU after a made three-pointer from Taylor Collins, and Broadway would drive the lane for a layup on the very next possession.
  • Arkansas-Monticello went into the locker room at halftime leading Northwestern 38-36 after a Rubalcava layup capped off the home scoring. 
  • The Blossoms were able to out-shoot the Rangers in the opening half, totaling a field goal percentage of 45 compared to that of Northwestern's 42 percent.

  • A quick 5-0 run began the second half in favor of the Rangers as the visiting squad reclaimed the lead, and would never trail UAM again for the remainder of this match-up.
  • UAM came as close as four points behind NWOSU late in the fourth and final quarter of play with a Mackenzie Johnson fast-break layup, however the Rangers were able to hang on for the 70-62 victory. 
  • Arkansas-Monticello struggled shooting from the floor in the second half, at just 28 percent overall, as Northwestern posted 52 percent shooting for the second half.
