MAGNOLIA, Ark. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team was defeated by the Muleriders of Southern Arkansas on the road Tuesday evening, 12-7.

  • 5th Inning: Borman got the Weevils on the board with a two-run blast to left center putting the SAU lead at 11-2. 
  • 5th Inning: Brady Weiss doubled to right field which saw two runs cross the plate to continue to cut into the 11-4 deficit. 
  • 6th Inning: Dylan Borman was able to bring home Wagner from third base with a RBI ground out. 
  • 6th Inning: Brodie Threet then singled to right field to knock in another run to put the score at 11-6 in favor of SAU. 
  • 6th Inning: Grant Shepherd singled to right as well for the RBI hit which put the score at 11-7 heading into the top of the 7th inning. 
    • The Muleriders however went on to add one more run and take the non-conference match-up at 12-7 by the final out.

  • UAM will next take on the Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State in a three-game GAC series this weekend with game one to be played Friday, March 16 in Alva, Oklahoma with first pitch set for 7:00 p.m.
