WEATHERFORD, Okla. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team was downed twice Friday afternoon by Southwestern Oklahoma State, 9-1, and 7-6.

  • 2nd Inning: Katelynn Stamper provided a two-run single to put UAM out in front 2-1 over the Bulldogs. 
  • 3rd Inning: Head tripled down the right field line to see Caro cross the plate to take a 3-2 advantage. 
  • 6th Inning: Stamper reached base on an error by the SWOSU center fielder, which scored Finnigan. 
  • 6th Inning: Bolick singled to right field to bring home Stamper to cut the SWOSU lead down to just 6-5. 
  • 6th Inning: Herbner then singled to left to tie up the ball game at 6-6 as Anderson crossed the plate for the run.
    • Unfortunately the Blossoms allowed a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to see the Bulldogs take game number two, 7-6.

  • The Blossoms will finish up its' series against Southwestern Oklahoma State tomorrow, March 24, with a double-header and game one is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. in Weatherford, Oklahoma.
