@WEEVILSBASEBALL SHUTS DOWN SOUTHWESTERN AT HOME

MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team swept the day against Southwestern Oklahoma State Friday afternoon, with wins of 6-3, and 2-1 over the Bulldogs.

  • 1st Inning: Andres Rios grounded out to shortstop which saw Brian Ray cross the plate for the 3-0 lead. 
  • 2nd Inning: Dodd doubled down the left field line to knock in Brakebill, extending the lead to 4-0.  
  • 5th Inning: Jordan Johnson hit a sacrifice fly out to left field to bring home Ray from third base, give UAM the 5-2 advantage. 
  • 6th Inning: Wagner finished off the UAM scoring after reaching on a fielder's choice which saw Brakebill score to extend the lead, and Chambers went on to only allow one hit the remainder of the match-up, taking the conference victory at 6-3.
