MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team split the day with Oklahoma Baptist University, Friday afternoon, dropping game one 8-7, and winning game number two, 6-3.

  • 1st Inning: Wagner singled through the left side to see Weiss cross the plate to get UAM on the board, trailing OKB 4-1.
  • 1st Inning: Borman then singled to left field to bring home Brian Ray to cut the lead down to 4-2. 
  • 2nd Inning: Sean Wagner provided a RBI single one again to put the score at 4-3. 
  • 3rd Inning: Brady Weiss singled to right field to bring home Drake Rowton to tie up the game at 4-4. 
  • 6th Inning: Wagner continued to boost the offense with a three-run home run giving UAM the 7-5 lead.
    • Unfortunately the Weevils fell to the Bison by the final out at 8-7.

  • 3rd Inning: Brian Ray stole second base, which saw Dodd steal home from third base to put UAM ahead at 3-2. 
  • 6th Inning: Borman hit a sacrifice fly out to center field to bring home Ray from third base to once again take the lead at 4-3. 
  • 6th Inning: Rios was able to reach base on an OKB error, which brought home Wagner for the 5-3 advantage. 
  • 6th Inning: Johnson capped off the Weevil scoring with a single to shortstop to bring home Rios for the 6-3 win.
