CLINTON, Miss. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team defeated the Choctaws of Mississippi College Tuesday evening, by a final score of 10-5.

  • 2nd Inning:  Weiss got UAM on the board with a solo home run to right field for the 1-0 lead. 
  • 5th Inning:  Rowton singled to right field to cut the Choctaw lead down to 3-2 in the game. 
  • 5th Inning:  Brakebill reached on a MC fielding error to see one run come home to tie up the game. 
  • 5th Inning:  Dodd singled up the middle to knock in Borman to put the score at 5-3 overall. 
  • 5th Inning:  Rios singled through the left side of the field to see two runs cross the plate for the 6-3 lead. 
  • 5th Inning:  Weiss crushed his second home run of the game to push the UAM advantage out to 9-3. 
  • 8th Inning:  Drake Rowton singled through the ride side to extend the Weevils' lead out to 10-5.

  • The Weevils return to the field next on Friday, April 20 as UAM will host Harding in a three-game series at Weevils Field. Game one will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m.
