MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team took down rival Southern Arkansas Friday afternoon by a score of 3-2 at Weevils Field. 

• Final Score:  #27 UAM 3  -  SAU 2
  • The Weevils clinched a share of the GAC Regular Season Title with this victory, and have also locked up the overall number one seed at the GAC Championship Tournament. 
• UAM improves to 30-15 (23-8 GAC) this season. 
• SAU falls to 30-16 (20-11 GAC) on the year.

• 2nd Inning:  Borman sent a ball well beyond the left field fence for the two-run home run, giving the Weevils the 2-1 advantage. 
• 8th Inning:  Wagner capped off the scoring with a solo shot home run to left, putting UAM in front 3-2, and the Weevils closed the game off over the Muleriders in the top of the 9th. 
   

• UAM is back in action tomorrow, April 28, as the Weevils face Southern Arkansas in a double-header at Weevils Field. Game time is slated for 12:00 p.m., and tomorrow will also be senior day for UAM, with festivities set to begin around 11:30 a.m.
