MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello Men's basketball team came out with a win Saturday over Randall University. The Weevils looked like a force to be reckoned with as they cruised through the Saints to a 92-51 victory.
The first half was a back-and-forth affair as the lead changed hands seven times before the Weevils finally found some momentum. With the score tied at 27, and three and a half minutes left on the clock, UAM would go on a 6-0 run to finish out the half. The Weevils would head to the locker room with a 33-27 lead over the Randall University team.
A fire was sparked in the locker room as the Weevils would come out for the second half with a hunger that wasn't there the first half. UAM would out-score themselves 59-33 as the finished out the second half, and best ABC 59-24 for the second half. Inevitably the Weevils would take the victory 92-51.
Ray Price led the charge posting 26 points and 3 rebounds.
Jesse White, Richard Feagin, Cole Anderson, and Wesley Booker also finished in double digits tallying 12, 10, 10, and 10.
Defensively, the Weevils registered eight steals and four blocks while forcing RU into ten turnovers.
