HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello men's golf team finished seventh out of 10 teams at the Battle for the Belt Tuesday. The tournament was hosted by Henderson State at the Hot Springs Country Club.
UAM shot a total 929 as a team posting rounds of 306, 308 and 315.
Carson Garner was the top finisher for the Weevils shooting all three rounds in the 70s recording rounds of 76 (+2), 72 (E) and 76 (+4) for a total of 224 placing him in a tie for 12th.
Tyler Quinn was the next best finisher for UAM ending tied for 28th after shooting 73 (+1), 80 (+8) and 79 (+7) for a combined 232. Andrew Pearson followed tying for 34th recording a three-round total of 235.
Rounding out the group for the Weevils were William Sumner who posted a combined 247 to finish 51st and Ethan Bearden who finished 55th with a total score of 251.
