MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello Women's basketball teams played a Great American Conference on Saturday against Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Bailey Harris put on a show, scoring double digits for the Blossoms in a strong back and forth game against SEOSU, before eventually falling 80-61.

The Blossoms were the first to score on a three-pointer from Bailey Harris. UAM would lose that lead as the Storm would go on a run, taking a 13-5 lead. Monticello would battle back, but head into the second quarter down to SEOSU.

The second quarter turned out to be very similar to the first as both teams continued throwing up shots. Taylor East would give UAM a handful of field goals. The Storm would hold their lead as the half came to a close, and the two teams would head to the locker room, with the overall score, 46-26.

The third and fourth quarters were very similar as both teams came out of the for the second half hungry. The Blossoms struggled to find the net regardless of how many shots they put up, going 6-14 on field goals in the both quarters. The two teams would continue their conference battle, SEOSU proving to have the match go their way as they would win the game 80-61 and the Blossoms fall to 0-22 on the season with an 0-16 record in conference play.

Bailey Harris and Taylor East each had over 10 points on the night, totaling 22 and 12.

Defensively, the Blossoms registered 1 steal and 2 blocks, forcing SEOSU into 8 turnovers.

UP NEXT

UAM will be back in action Monday, Feb. 14th as they travel to Arkansas Tech University for a make-up game from Feb. 5. The game is set to start at 5:30 PM.
