SEARCY, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello Men's basketball team came up on the wrong end of a 60-49 decision as they traveled to Searcy, AR for Thursday's, Great American Conference match-up with Harding University.
UAM (10-17) had one players score in double figures. That being Jabari Sweet with a total of 12.
The Bisons were the first to score, putting in a three to get the game rolling. Ray Price was the first to score for the Weevils, putting in a layup. Though UAM would find their way back into the lead, they were unable to hold it as HU pushed back, taking the control back from UAM for the remainder of the half's entirety. The Weevils were only able to put up 16 points throughout the entirety, down 24-16 as the two teams would head into the locker room.
The second half proved to be a gnarly back and forth fight between Harding and Arkansas-Monticello as they both refused to let the other get comfortable. Monticello would put up 33 points compared to the Bisons' 36 points in the half. UAM finished out the match with a final score of 60-49.
The Weevils move to 10-17 on the season, with a 6-15 GAC record.
