Box Score MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello Men's basketball team came up on the wrong end of a 68-55, senior night decision in their final Great American Conference match-up of the 2021-2022 basketball season, falling to Ouachita Baptist University, 68-55.
UAM had two players score in double figures.
Josh Denton lead the offense for the Weevils with 19 points and 7 rebounds.
Richard Feagin Jr. had 10 points of his own for UAM on the night.
The Weevils were the first to score, with Cole Anderson putting in two layups to get the game rolling. Though UAM would start with the lead, they were unable to hold it as OBU pushed back, taking the control back from UAM for the remainder of the half's entirety. The Weevils were only able to put up 19 points throughout the entirety, down 37-19 as the two teams would head into the locker room.
The second half proved to be a massive switch in momentum between Ouachita Baptist and Arkansas-Monticello, as the Weevils wer able to outscore the Tigers. Monticello would put up 36 points compared to the Tigers 31 points in the half. UAM finished out the match with a final score of 68-55.
The Weevils finish the 2021-2022 season with an overall record of 10-18, with a 6-16 GAC record.
