MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas-Monticello's men's basketball team is set for its final week of Great American Conference regular season contest. The Weevils will begin the final week in Searcy, Arkansas for a final meeting with the Bisons of Harding on Thursday, February 26, before returning to Steelman Field House for the final match up of the season on Senior Day, Saturday, February 28, against the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist.
Senior Day: Saturday afternoon upon the completion of the women's game the seniors from both the Cotton Blossoms and Boll Weevils basketball teams will be honored at center court.
Student Halftime Event (Men's Game): During halftime of the men's game, this Saturday, one lucky student in attendance at the basketball games will have a chance to make a full-court putt for $10,000, brought to you by Union Bank! A consolation prize of $800 will be awarded to the lucky putter. To be selected, a student must be at the games and have a valid student ID.

LAST MEETING
Harding University - Arkansas-Monticello dropped this season prior meeting to the Bisons, 46-70.Arkansas-Monticello opened the first half of the game behind, 17-9. The Boll Weevils would pick away at Harding's lead, putting themselves within six; however, the Bisons found their momentum, building on their lead once more. The teams were headed to the locker room at the half with the Weevils trailing, 32-23. The second 20-minute period was completely controlled by Harding once again, outscoring the Boll Weevils 38-23. The Bisons increased their lead to a game-high 28 points with 1:03 remaining on the clock; however, the Weevils decreased it to 24 as the game came to a close. Arkansas-Monticello came out with a 70-46 loss to the Bisons.
Isaac Jackson led the way for Arkansas-Monticello , posting 16 points in the game. Jackson hit 6-16 total field goals on the day and 4-10 three-pointers. He also contributed two defensive rebounds and three assists in his 36 minutes.
Giancarlo Valdez saw 11 points posted as the final Boll Weevil in the double-digits. Valdez went 4-6 on field goals and 2-3 from beyond the arc, while grabbing one assist, a steal, and a block. Arkansas-Monticello committed 12 turnovers in the entirety of the match.
Ouachita Baptist - The Boll Weevils fell 55-68 earlier this season to the Tigers. Arkansas-Monticello opened the first half of the game with an early lead thanks to a jumper from
Josh Smith; however, Ouachita Baptist quickly flipped the script in their favor. UAM clawed its way back with a layup from
Ashton Price to tie the game 12-12 with 12:03 left to play. The Tigers gained control once more, increasing their lead by seven. The teams would head to the locker room at the half with the Weevils trailing, 31-24. Ouachita Baptist carried its momentum into the second 20-minute period, outscoring the Weevils 37-31. The Tigers increased their lead to a game-high 19 points; however, the Weevils cut the deficit to eight points on three separate occasions. The effort proved not enough as Ouachita Baptist stayed in control for the remainder of the game. Arkansas-Monticello came out of the contest with a 68-55 loss to the Tigers.
Josh Smith led the way for Arkansas-Monticello, posting 17 points in the game. Smith hit 7-10 total field goals on the day and 3-4 free throws. He also contributed seven total rebounds and one assist in his 40 minutes.
Isaac Jackson was the second Boll Weevil in the double-digits, scoring 15 points on the evening. Jackson hit 6-15 field goals, one three-pointer, and 2-4 from the line, while grabbing seven total rebounds, four assists, and a steal.
Jakob Zenon saw 10 points posted as the final Boll Weevil in the double-digits. Zenon went 3-11 on field goals, 3-11 from beyond the arc, and 1-2 free throws, while grabbing one defensive rebound, two assists, and a steal. Arkansas-Monticello committed 14 turnovers in the entirety of the match.

Harding University - Tuesday's match-up will be the 132nd meeting between the two squads. The Boll Weevils lead the Bisons in overall record, 68-63, dating back to the first matchup on December 15, 1960, a 74-59 win for UAM. The largest margin of victory came via a 96-60 decision on January 1, 1993. Arkansas-Montiello's longest win streak over Harding is six games, played between December 1960 and February 1963. Inside Steelman Field House, the Weevils are 39-25, 27-38 on the road, and 63-54 in GAC conference action. Through 131 games, the Weevils have amassed 9,696 points over the Bison, averaging 74.02 points per game.
Ouachita Baptist University - When the Weevils and Tigers tip off on Saturday, they will commence the 122nd meeting all time. UAM trails Ouachita 57-65 all-time, dating back to the first match in January 1961, a 42-36 win. The largest margin of victory was 91-57 in December 1978, and the longest win streak stands at six games set between January 2010 and February 2012.
