ADA, Okla. – Arkansas-Monticello took down the East Central Tigers in Game 3 of their GAC series. There was only one run scored throughout the games entirety, but UAM came out on top, winning the match, 1-0.

Caroline Tedder led the Blossoms to a Saturday afternoon win when she stepped to the plate in the third inning. With a pinch hit AB, she took the opportunity to drive the ball over the left field wall, giving UAM a 1-0 lead. The Tigers were unable to come back as the Blossoms would take the win, 1-0, after 7 innings.

Sam Stephens started on the mound for the Blossoms, posting 4.0 innings on the day. Stephens gave up 0 runs on 2 hits to the Tigers in her outing, striking out two batters.
Maddie Chalenburg tossed 2.0 innings on the mound for UAM, giving up 2 hits and 0 runs.
Averie Gunther finished out the last inning of the match, allowing zero 0 runs on 1 hit. She struck out two batters.

The WIN on the day pushes Arkansas-Monticello to 15-17 on the season and 10-7 in GAC play.

The Blossoms return to the field on Tuesday, Mar. 29 as they host Delta State University for a double header at Alvy Early Softball Field. The games are set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
