BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The Arkansas-Monticello men's golf team closed out the 2023-24 Tulsa Cup Tournament, hosted by Rogers State University, on Tuesday afternoon at The Club at Indian Spring Golf course in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. UAM finished the final round of the tournament in 17th place, with a combined score or 950.
Aidan Rooke led the Boll Weevils throughout the entirety of the Tulsa Cup, tying for 65th place with a final total of 233 shots. Rooke opened the tournament with a 8-over 80 in round one, improving by seven strokes to a 73 in round two to close out day one. He finished his final round of the event with another 80.
Daniel Taylor and
Chase Kisver each tied for 72nd in the tournament, with Taylor shooting an 80 in his opening round and Kisver starting his tournament run with a 77. Taylor improved two strokes in round two for a 78 and Kisver closed out day one with an 83. The two closed out the final rounds of the tournament with an 81 and a 79.
Grant Mohesky shot an 86 in his opening 18 holes, improving to a 6-over 78 in his second round. Mohesky finished his final round of the tournament with an 79 for an 81st place overall finish.
Ethan Bearden was the final Weevil to compete, finishing tied for 87th. Bearden shot an 83, 87, and 80 over three rounds, totaling 250 total shots throughout his performance in the tournament.
