Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team traveled to Arkadelphia, Arkansas for a non-conference doubleheader against Ouachita Baptist University on Tuesday. The Weevils came out with a 7-1 victory over the Tigers in game one, followed by a 3-0 loss in game two.

Scoring Recap:
The Weevils were the first team to score, posting four runs in the second inning thanks to RBI singles from Jalyn Williams, DeShaun Cordova and Chase Cripps.

Chaz Poppy scored in the fourth on a throwing error from the catcher on a stolen base attempt. Parker Dorrance and DeShaun Cordova each saw an RBI single to give UAM a 7-0 lead over the Tigers.

Ouachita Baptist drove in one run in the sixth, but the effort would prove not enough as the seven inning game would come to an end with a 7-1 UAM victory.

Ouachita Baptist was the first and only team to score in game two, posting three runs in the fifth inning. The Weevils came out with a 3-0 loss to close out the doubleheader.
