MUSKOGEE, OK. – The Arkansas-Monticello men's golf team closed out the 2023-24 season opening tournament in the NSU Men's Golf Classic Tournament on Tuesday afternoon at the Muskogee Country Club in Muskogee, Oklahoma. UAM finished the final round of the tournament in 13th place.
Owen Page came out of the final round of the tournament as the top performing golfer for the Weevils. After shooting a 75 and a 72 in the opening two rounds, he closed out the tournament with an even par 71. Page left the tournament tied for 22nd.
Aidan Rooke led the Weevils throughout day one, closing out the first two rounds of the tournament tied for 9th overall after a 1-over 72 in his opening round, followed by a 2-under 69 in his second. On day two, he finished with an 80 in the final round to finish tied for 37th.
Chase Kisver shot an 81 in his opening 18 holes, improving to a 3-over 74 in his second round. Kisver finished his final round of the tournament with a 74 for a 70th place overall finish.
Ethan Bearden and
Daniel Taylor were both tied for 50th place after the first day. Each shooting a 74 in the first round of the day and a 76 in round two. Bearden shot an 80 in the third round to finish tied for 74th and Taylor an 83 to close out the event in 85th.
