MONTICELLO, Ark. - UAM's volleyball team (4-10, 0-4 in GAC ) dropped its fourth consecutive GAC match as it fell 3-0 (22-25, 12-25, 19-25) to Henderson (10-7,2-3 GAC) Thursday night in Steelman Fieldhouse.

The Reddies held the Blossoms to a .152 hitting percentage on 37 kills, alongside two aces, eight blocks, and 47 digs. 

Jasmine Welton and Holiday Ellis led UAM with nine kills. Valeria Velez followed with five. 

Mia Smalls handed out 24 assists, and Abrielle Jordan had seven blocks to lead the team.

SET 1
Arkansas-Monticello saw themselves leading 6-4 but saw Henderson respond to take  7-10. The lead would change twice more between the Blossoms and Reddies before HSU took control at 17-14. The Reddies would outscore the Blossoms 8-3 in the final stretch, including eight unanswered to take the set, 25-17.

SET 2
The Blossoms started the set 4-0 but would give up five straight after a Reddies timeout. Henderson dominated the set, leading 8-12, before a UAM rally that would see the score at 16-20. In a reverse ending of the previous set, the Blossoms would outscore the Reddies 8-4 to tie the set at 24 all. Henderson would take the set 26-24 following a kill and a bad set from UAM. 

SET 3
For the first time in the match, the Reddies were on the board first, with a 4-0 lead, before a kill from Holiday Ellis gave the Blossoms their first point of the set, 1-4. HSU kept the momentum going, holding UAM to only 10 points through 24 serves, 11-18. Not backing down, the Cotton Blossoms kept the Reddies at 23 points, bringing their points to 20-23. A strong rally from the green and white fell short, with Henderson taking the set 25-21 and the match 3-0.

GAME NOTES

• This was the 39th meeting between the Blossoms and Muleriders.
• Abrielle Jordan set a new career high in total blocks with seven.
