SEARCY, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello men's basketball team dropped to 0-3 in GAC play after falling on the road to the Bisons of Harding University, 63-56.
Leading Arkansas-Monticello (3-6, 0-3 GAC) with 22 points on the night was
Seth Grandberry. Grandberry hit 9-26 field goals and 4-12
shots from three-point range while grabbing six rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
Next up for the Boll Weevils in double digits was
Devin Davis, posting

on the evening. Davis was
7-15 on field goals,
0-2 from beyond the arc, and 1-4 from the free throw line. He also contributed three rebounds, one assist, and two steals.
Harding (6-3, 2-1 GAC) was led by
Keyln McBride with 21 points.
The first half opened with a layup from
Seth Grandberry, putting the Boll Weevils ahead. The teams SAW back-and-forth baskets, causing three different lead changes throughout the opening twenty minutes. Harding prevailed in the end, as both teams headed to the locker room with the Bisons leading 29-25.
The second 20-minute period proved to be won by Harding, as they outscored UAM 34-31. The Bisons increased their lead to a game-high 16 points with 13:22 left on the clock but saw the Boll Weevils fight back, decreasing it to seven as the game came to a close. Arkansas-Monticello came out with a 63-56 loss on the road.
Arkansas-Monticello committed seven turnovers in the entirety of the match.
